Mridangam and its parts
Among all instruments,Mridangam is the most important instrument.Because of the melodious tunes it gives,it is called Rajavadya.In the Shiva tandava,Nandi plays the Mridangam.There are different pitches for Mridangams.
The Mridangam is made of Deer skin,Wood ,Leather and Rice paste(bonam).
The right side of the Mridangam is called Naatu the left side is Thattu.
